C# da Metod

Metod (Funksiya)

Funksiya – bu kodning qayta ishlatiladigan qismi bo’lib, u bir yoki bir nechta vazifalarni bajarish uchun yoziladi. Funksiya boshqa joyda chaqirilganda, u bajariladi va natija qaytarilishi mumkin. Funksiya ma’lum bir vazifani bajarish uchun ishlatiladi va kodni modul qilish hamda qayta ishlatishni osonlashtiradi.

Funksiyaning asosiy qismlari:

Funksiya turi (return type): Funksiya qanday turdagi qiymatni qaytarishi kerakligini bildiradi. Masalan, int, void, double va boshqalar.

Funksiya nomi (function name): Funksiyaga berilgan ism bo’lib, chaqirilganda uni ishlatish uchun xizmat qiladi.

Parametrlar (parameters): Funksiya kiruvchi qiymatlar olishi mumkin, bu qiymatlar funksiyaga berilgan argumentlar yordamida uzatiladi. Agar parametrlar kerak bo’lsa, bo’sh qavslar (()) yoziladi.

Tana qismi (function body): Funksiya bajaradigan amallar bu yerda yoziladi. Qavslar {} ichiga yoziladi.

Qaytarish bayonoti (return statement): Funksiya natijani qaytarishi mumkin. Agar funksiya natija qaytarishi kerak bo’lsa, return bayonoti ishlatiladi. Aks holda, funksiya void bo’lishi mumkin va qaytarish talab qilinmaydi.

Sintaksis:

qaytish_turi FunksiyaNomi(parametrlar)
{
    // Funksiyaning ishlash qismi
    return qiymat; // Agar qaytish turi `void` bo'lmasa
}

Masalan:

string GenerateGreeting(string ism, string sana)
{
    return $"Salom, {ism}! Bugungi sana: {sana}.";
}

Kodni qisqartirish:

Agar kodimiz bir qatorli bo’lsa uni qisqartirsak bo’ladi. “return” -> “=>”.

string GenerateGreeting(string ism, string sana)
    => $"Salom, {ism}! Bugungi sana: {sana}.";

Conclusion:

Funksiyalar kodni modul qilish va qayta ishlatishni osonlashtiradi. Ular bir qatorli vazifalarni bajarish uchun ishlatiladi va kodni qisqartirishga imkon beradi.

LOTUS: Lightning-Fast Semantic Processing on LLMs

Researchers Unveil LOTUS, an Open Source Query Engine for Fast, Easy, and Declarative LLM-Powered Data Processing

Researchers at Stanford University and UC Berkeley have announced the release of version 1.0 of LOTUS, an open source query engine designed to make large language model (LLM)-powered data processing fast, easy, and declarative. The project’s backers claim that developing AI applications with LOTUS is as easy as writing Pandas, providing performance and speed boosts compared to existing approaches.

The Need for a New Abstraction Layer

The potential to use LLMs to build AI applications that can analyze and reason across large amounts of source data is vast. In some cases, these LLM-powered AI apps can meet or even exceed human capabilities in advanced fields, such as medicine and law. However, developers have struggled to build end-to-end systems that can take full advantage of the core technological breakthroughs in AI. One of the major drawbacks is the lack of a unified abstraction layer. While SQL is algebraically complete for structured data residing in tables, we lack a unified command for processing unstructured data residing in documents.

Introducing LOTUS: LLMs Over Tables of Unstructured and Structured Data

LOTUS, which stands for LLMs Over Tables of Unstructured and Structured data, comes in to fill this void. In a new paper, titled "Semantic Operators: A Declarative Model for Rich, AI-based Analytics Over Text Data," the computer science researchers discuss their approach to solving this big AI challenge.

Semantic Operators: A Declarative Programming Interface

The LOTUS researchers, advised by legendary computer scientists Matei Zaharia and Carlos Guestrin, introduce semantic operators, a declarative programming interface that extends the relational model with composable AI-based operations for bulk semantic queries (e.g., filtering, sorting, joining, or aggregating records using natural language criteria). Each operator can be implemented and optimized in multiple ways, opening a rich space for execution plans similar to relational operators.

Optimization and Performance

The researchers found several ways to optimize the operators to speed up processing of common operations, such as semantic filtering, clustering, and joins, by up to 400x over other methods. LOTUS queries match or exceed competing approaches to building AI pipelines, while maintaining or improving on the accuracy, they say.

Conclusion

The introduction of LOTUS is a significant step towards making LLM-powered data processing faster, easier, and more declarative. With its semantic operators, LOTUS provides a powerful and expressive interface for performing bulk semantic queries across large corpora. The project’s potential applications are vast, from fact-checking to multi-label medical classification, search and ranking, and text summarization, among others.

New AI-First Strategy at GSA, with Elon Musk Ally at the Helm

In a Monday morning meeting, Thomas Shedd, the recently appointed Technology Transformation Services director and Elon Musk ally, told General Services Administration workers that the agency’s new administrator is pursuing an “AI-first strategy,” sources tell WIRED.

Automating Government Tasks

Throughout the meeting, Shedd shared his vision for a GSA that operates like a “startup software company,” automating different internal tasks and centralizing data from across the federal government.

AI Coding Agents and Centralized Data Repository

Shedd provided details on a number of projects the agency will pursue over the coming weeks and months, including the development of “AI coding agents” that would be made available for all agencies. He also emphasized the need for a centralized data repository, although it wasn’t clear where this repository would be based or if these projects would comply with privacy laws.

Risks and Concerns

A cybersecurity expert who was granted anonymity due to concerns of retaliation told WIRED that automating the government isn’t the same as automating other things, like self-driving cars. “People, especially people who aren’t experts in the subject domain, coming into projects often think ‘this is dumb’ and then find out how hard the thing really is.”

Uncertainty and Confusion Among GSA Staffers

The Monday meeting comes days after WIRED reported that many of Musk’s associates have migrated to jobs at the highest levels of the GSA and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Prior to joining TTS, which is housed within the GSA, Shedd was a software engineer at Tesla, one of Musk’s companies. The transition has caused mass confusion amongst GSA staffers who have been thrown into surprise one-on-one meetings, forced to present their code—often to young engineers who did not identify themselves—and left wondering what the future of the agency’s tech task force will look like.

Questions Left Unanswered

Employees, sources say, also asked questions about the young engineers, who had previously not been identifying themselves in meetings. Shedd said that one of them felt comfortable enough to introduce himself in meetings on Monday, sources say, though Shedd added that he was nervous about their names being publicly revealed and their lives upended.

Shedd was unable to answer many staff questions about the deferred resignations, the return to office mandate, or if the agency’s staff would face substantial cuts, according to sources. At one point, Shedd indicated that workforce cuts were likely for TTS, but declined to give more details.

Conclusion

The new AI-first strategy at GSA, led by Thomas Shedd and Elon Musk ally, has raised concerns among cybersecurity experts and GSA staffers. The agency’s plans to automate internal tasks and centralize data from across the federal government may have significant implications for the government’s workforce and operations. As the agency moves forward with these plans, it remains to be seen how they will be implemented and what the consequences will be for GSA staff and the broader government.

Adam Candeub Poised to Join Federal Communications Commission (FCC)

Adam Candeub, a known critic of Big Tech, looks poised to join the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as its general counsel.

Background

Candeub will be general counsel of the FCC, reports Semafor, which cites direct confirmation from FCC chairman Brendan Carr. TechCrunch has reached out to the FCC for more information.

Candeub’s Views on Section 230

Candeub has long been a vocal critic of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996. Section 230 protects tech companies and online service providers from prosecution based on what their users post on their platforms. The argument against repealing Section 230 is that tech entities, including social media companies, would become liable for what is posted on their platforms, which could lead to censorship.

Previous Attempts to Repeal Section 230

In 2020, Candeub was one of the lead writers of an administrative petition that asked the FCC to get involved with the ongoing debates around social media content moderation. The debates were sparked after Donald Trump accused social media sites of censoring conservative voices after companies like X — Twitter at the time — moderated his inaccurate claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election.

That attempt to curb Section 230’s power wasn’t successful. More recent challenges have also failed. In 2023, the Supreme Court took Google and Twitter’s respective sides in adjacent cases that tried to hold the platforms accountable for allowing content from the Islamic State that promoted the terrorist organization.

Implications of Candeub’s Appointment

The conversation around Section 230 was already likely to come up during this administration again. Candeub joins the FCC alongside recently appointed chairman Carr, who has already been vocal about hoping for changes to Section 230 during this administration.

Candeub’s Background

Candeub previously served as an advisor to the FCC in the early 2000s. He joined the Trump Administration in 2019 as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Telecommunications and Information and also assumed the role of Acting Assistant Secretary. He joined the Department of Justice as Deputy Associate Attorney General in the waning weeks of Trump’s presidency in late 2020. Candeub is currently a law professor at Michigan State University; he first joined its law faculty back in 2004.

Conclusion

Candeub’s appointment as general counsel of the FCC is likely to bring a renewed focus on Section 230 and its implications for Big Tech. With Chairman Carr already expressing hopes for changes to the law, Candeub’s presence could signal a significant shift in the FCC’s approach to online content moderation.

FAQs

Q: What is Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996?

A: Section 230 is a law that protects tech companies and online service providers from prosecution based on what their users post on their platforms.

Q: Why is Candeub a critic of Section 230?

A: Candeub believes that Section 230’s protection of tech companies from liability for user-generated content could lead to censorship and a lack of accountability for online platforms.

Q: What are the implications of Candeub’s appointment for Big Tech?

A: Candeub’s appointment could signal a renewed focus on Section 230 and its implications for Big Tech, potentially leading to changes in the law and increased scrutiny of online content moderation practices.

Tested: AGON Pro AG276FK Gaming Monitor with Unbelievable Refresh Rate

0

Design and Build

The AGON Pro AG276FK looks remarkably similar to other AOC monitors that have been released in recent times, including the AOC Gaming Q27G4XF and AOC GAMING 27G4XE. It also adopts an almost identical rear panel to the AGON PRO AG346UCD. This includes a special lighting setup that illuminates your desk area in various colours. Glowing colours and patterns can also be customised and even synced up with other AOC devices.

The panel itself is fast IPS, which is an improvement upon standard IPS displays. It enables monitor manufacturers like AOC to deliver amazing colour accuracy and wide viewing angles while also offering enhanced response times. It is the panel technology that allows for the whopping 520 Hz refresh rate.

The case itself is made of matt grey plastic and is robust enough to endure any knocks it might face during its lifetime. The screen can be raised or lowered with an easy-to-adjust mechanism.

Features and Performance

The standout feature of the Pro AG276FK is its 520Hz refresh rate and swift response times of up to 0.5ms GtG and 0.3ms MPRT. None of this will be of any relevance to creatives but to gamers; these are truly drool-inducing specifications.

These deliver beautiful, clear motion clarity with minimal input lag and I’ve not seen a monitor that performs better in this regard. I’m no esports professional but I imagine this will provide you with everything you need. According to AOC, fast-paced FPS titles such as Counter-Strike 2 or Valorant display one frame every 1.92 milliseconds. Impressive.

The refresh rate means that AOC has had to limit the resolution to FullHD. Current-gen GPUs just couldn’t perform adequately enough if it was pushed higher. I imagine and would expect that in future years we’ll see higher resolutions being paired with extreme refresh rates.

Along with this IPS technology, the Pro AG276FK produces a beautiful image quality. As a creative, I loved the vibrant and bold colours that are a result of the DisplayHDR 400 certification and peak 400 nits of brightness. Most of my creative workflows were not hindered by the Full HD resolution but problems do arise when working with 4K video footage. Again, it’s worth keeping in mind that this is primarily a monitor for gamers.

With that in mind, gamers will love a range of other included features, including the built-in Frame Counter and Shadow Control that allow players to monitor their performance and fine-tune their visual experience. There are also Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) and MBR Sync technologies, which can be turned on to further enhance motion clarity in competitive scenarios.

Price

The AGON Pro AG276FK is currently available at an MSRP of £499.99 / $530. At this price, you’ll have to be sold on having a monitor with one of the quickest refresh rates in the world. At only 27 inches and FullHD resolution, there are better alternatives around, especially if you want to go curved. For example, you could grab the Philips Evnia 34M2C5501A monitor for only £299.99.

Buy it if

  • You’re a professional gamer
  • You need a next-level refresh rate
  • You like monitor’s with USB hubs

Don’t buy it if

  • You work with high resolution video files
  • You’re on a budget
